We were asked is there a way to use XMTV Player on Windows computer. Basically the player is not intended to be used like that, but for testing/developing purposes we found how to workaround this.
BlueStacks and Genymotion offer solutions that allow Android applications to be used on windows platforms by creating a virtual machine, that emulates Android device on the Windows box. Both of them have their positives and drawbacks and are intended for different type of use.
Detailed instructions are available here and here. Your comments are appreciated. Also if you know other ways how to run .apk files on Windows feel free to contact us.
