Samsung, Movistar will try pilot VR experience for El Clásico

Telefónica’s Movistar+ and Samsung are to launch a virtual reality (VR) pilot experience during today’s El Clásico football match.

During the Barcelona vs Real Madrid game, Movistar + will broadcast the trial live feed for Samsung VR Gear devices. A specially designed application will enable viewers to sit in a virtual place in Camp Nou stadium and choose between three different points during the game.

In addition to viewing, Samsung VR VR Gear users will have access to a regular signal Movistar + and live stats during the game.
As a MediaPro production of 4K signal of El Clásico, which is to stream to the world in partnership with NeuLion, pay tv platform, Telefónica has also announced the Ultra HD broadcast for subscribers to IPTV.

We received multiple requests about XMTVCast not allowing display to be turned off during stream casting. And who will look at 5 or 10 inch screen when there is 50 inch super-duper LED TV on the wall? This is just a waste of battery power. As you know we are always value the opinion of our users and every time we can help we are doing our best to fulfill user requests. Now we are happy to inform you that there is a new version of XMTVCast in which this issue is now fixed. XMTVCast now runs as a service in background and can happily will continue casting when display is turned off or device is switched to another app. Not only this, but in the new version we fixed some annoying compatibility issues in HLS (m3u8) support and added italian translation (which is not perfect for sure, if you find a mistake just let us know).

Samsung will submit a folding phones in 2016

According to sources, the Korean edition of ET News in January next year, Samsung will present two folding phone.

The devices will have AMOLED display will have 3GB RAM, microSD slot and the batteries will be built.

According to information both models will differ in used processor – one will bet on the Snapdragon chipset 620, and the other will be equipped with Snapdragon 820.


IPTV Streaming doubles in next few years


Time spent watching tv series upon request, programs, movies, and more than double by 2013, with consumers already spend six hours a week streaming.

2015 VEX Robotics World Championship

One of the world’s largest international event of robotics titled as a 3 day, intensive robotics-engineering tournament is to be held in mid April at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

According to the sponsors, the 16th to 18th April VEX Robotics World Championship 2015 is specially designed to celebrate the achievements of students who are engineering-minded have a keen interest in the field of mathematics, science and technology.

It has been expected that this competition will attract over 800 student groups from an initial 12 thousand teams that are competing since last summer in different local events around the world. There are many Kentucky schools that are expected to participate in this competition.

According to the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau, this big event is also expected to attract more than 15000 attendees, which will generate around $ 5million in local economic impact. The convention bureau also reported that the VEX Worlds is the world’s largest international robotics event, which will bring together 800 of the brightest, best and talented student teams from thirty different countries for the competition that comprises 3 days in back-to-back robotics matches.

These 800 teams already competed in several local events since last June, such as VEX U, VEX Robotics Competitions and the VEX IQ Challenge. The bureau also announced that every game challenge is different from another, which requires a student-built robot to maneuver, stack and pick up, pegs, cubes and blocks around a field for scoring as many points as it is possible. More than just an exercise in driving robots and programming, the robots will be turned to engaging and interesting hands-on sport by all the tech savvy students which will be fascinating to watch. All the teams will work together; however, display the skills of their robots individually in both autonomous skills and driver-controlled competition.

In this competition, all the student teams will be given tasks that include building and designing of a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge from around the world. According to sponsors, this competition will help the students in learning how to work efficiently in teams, how to better communicate and skills of leadership.

The Robotics Education & Competition Foundation and the Northrop Grumman Foundation present the VEX Worlds event. However, local events support is generally provided by the University of Louisville, UPS, Toyota Manufacturing of Kentucky, Nissan, Mathworks, HelmsBriscoe, Glowtouch and General Electric.

UK Technology Event 2015

UK Digital 2015 is going to be the biggest event yet in its history as more than 2000 delegates descend in June on the Celtic Manor Resort. Technology events are always an attraction for consumers and technology giants themse lves as well. Often technology events are glittered with surprise releases and display of amazing gadgets from the leading names in the technology world. One of the kinds is the International Consumer Electronics Show (ICES). CES is held every year, in January in the beautiful city of Las Vegas, in  the United States. International Consumer Electronics Show caters more than 150,000 addicts of technology and 4000 plus exhibitors. The event is known all around the world for facilitating technology announcements and for hosting previews, that too by the brands people love to hear from. CES is also considered as one of the must attend events of technology.


This year the event began on 5th January with a press day, the tradition of CES. The day was honored by words from the President and CEO of Samsung Electronics; Keun Yoon and Chairman and Head of Mercedes; Dieter Zetsche. This year the event officially took place from the 6th to the 9th of January 2015.

Leading names in technology, including Sony LG, Sharp, Samsung Electronics and other announced their newborn technologies at the four day event in Las Vegas. The technology event is said to cover 2 million sq. ft. across three locations and every inch crowded with human feet all over. The locations were divided into specific dimensions of technology. ARIA catered regions of social media, brand marketing and marketers and advertising agencies. Tech West focused on customer, press and decision makers while Tech East was meant to target wireless gaming, automotive and audio regions. One out of many announcements, which drew attention was the announcement of S6 by Samsung Electronics. Further amazements included LG displaying its LG G Flex 2, new fancy wearable by Misfit, concept of Mercedes Benz D 015 and many others filled the event with joy and astonishment.

National Robotics Week

The 2015 National Robotics Week will be held from 4th April to 12th April. It is the 6th annual celebration of all the things automated. This event is scheduled nationwide for showcasing the increasing significance of robots in the United States. The IRIM, (Institute for Robotics & Intelligent Machines) will host its own event. This event will feature tours of labs and demos of robots on campus, on 8th April, Wednesday, 2015.


The students attending both the afternoon and morning sessions will tour various robotics labs and these sessions will not be duplicated.​The time schedule for this event is given as follows.

  • 9:00am – Student will start to check-in for tours
  • 9:30am – Morning Session will be held
  • 11:45am- Lunch will take place at the Klaus Atrium
  • 12:45pm-The Tours Begins
  • 1:00pm- Afternoon Session
  • 3:00pm- Event will be concluded

Details of Registration

  • Since registration for this event is limited, hence submissions will be accepted on a first served and first come basis. Interested students are requested to complete the registration as early as possible to make sure that the group of students can be accommodated.
  • As the registration reaches the maximum number of participants, the registration form will be turned off. However, if someone is still interested, then they are welcome to contact the team via mail and can place your name on the waiting list.

  • The campus is not able to accommodate those students who are enrolled in K-5 or pre-K programs, or students who have not yet reached pre-K age.

Required Forms Details

For attending this event, all the students must have a legal guardian or parents to complete a Model Release Form, which is related to the use of videos and photograph footage taken during the event and a Parental Release Form, which is related to liability. Moreover, Chaperones should also fill the Model Release Form. All these forms will be emailed, collected and scanned in one file to IRIM before to the event.

Attire and Transportation Details

It does not matter that whether you are signing up for both or just one tour sessions, outdoor walking is an essential element of this event. Make sure to wear comfortable dress and shoes for the weather. There is also a facility of transportation, which will be given to some of the remote tour locations on the campus.

Nokia to Reveal 6 devices at 22nd October Event

It has been reported by the sources of Verge that Nokia is expected to reveal 6 new devices at the event, which will be held on 22nd October in Abu Dhabi at the Nokia World.

The site further explains that the event of Nokia scheduled for next month will see 6 latest and new devices which will have at least 2 new Lumia handsets, the Lumia 2520 and Lumia 1520. Furthermore, the site also unveils that there will be a variety of new accessories and out of which one is going to be very special for the audience.

However, there is still no news about the rumored 4 new devices and accessories expected to release on 22nd October. Much of the speculation regarding the 22nd October event has centered on the long rumored Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet, whereas the rumored first phablet handset maker has been said to launch with a microSD card slot, a nano-SIM card, built-in storage of 32 GB, 2 GB of RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor. The expected highlights of the Nokia Lumia 1520 is a rear camera of 20 Megapixels, as well as a full HD display of 6 inches, a resolution that can be supported now because of the GDR3 update by Microsoft.

Also, Nokia is expected to formally release its first tablet, which is Nokia Lumia 2520 codenamed as Sirius. This tablet is based on Windows RT. The rumored Windows RT tablet of Nokia is likely to feature a full HD 10.1 inch 1920×1080 pixel display. This tablet is powered by an ARM quad-core Qualcomm 8974 processor.  The Nokia’s first tablet is expected to weigh around 590 grams (1.3 pounds) and offer up to 10hours of battery backup. The Sirius Windows RT tablet of Nokia has been rumored to feature a 6.7 mega pixel camera having Carl Zeiss optics and it will come preloaded with unique apps of Nokia. The Company has long been rumored that it is working on the tablet; however, there has not been much information about the official name of this tablet.

Nokia has confirmed its forthcoming announcement recently and also confirmed the event’s location, which is the Nokia World, Abu Dhabi. The Innovation Reinvented event of Nokia comes at a significant time for the company which has seen its worldwide market share dip amid increasing wave of low priced Android devices.
