Xiaomi Mi Note: From 2015 Forecasts to 108MP Note 10
2015 Forecasts and Early Mi Note Models
Back in early 2015, Xiaomi rolled out the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro. At the time, analysts thought Xiaomi might ship around 13 to 15 million Mi Note units that year. The Mi Note came with a 5.7-inch 1080p screen, 3GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of storage. The Mi Note Pro stepped things up with a Snapdragon 810, a sharper 5.7-inch Quad HD display, and 4GB of RAM. There were also rumors about an E Note and other Mi Note phablets in the works. In the first half of 2015, Xiaomi managed to sell about 34.7 million smartphones, showing they had plenty of momentum.
The Mi Note Line Evolves to Note 10
Xiaomi followed up with the Mi Note 2 in late 2016, this time with a curved OLED display and a Snapdragon 821. Then in 2019, they launched the Mi CC9 Pro in China, which most people outside China know as the Mi Note 10. The big headline here was the 108MP main camera. The Mi Note 10 made its global debut in Europe that November. By 2020, Xiaomi was shipping around 146 million smartphones worldwide, so the company was still on the rise. As of now, the Mi Note 10 is still the latest major release in the Mi Note series. There hasn’t been a new Mi Note model since 2019.
